QUINT Power Supply
QUINT Power Supply with SFB technology
SMPS Power supplies are the heart of any control cabinet. Availability of a system depends directly upon power supply. In particular, the use of a high quality power supply is decisive in this regard, for even short-term failures can have costly consequences, for example, in plant engineering or special machine engineering.
The new QUNIT SFB power supplies are the third generation of QUNIT POWER supplies offered by Phoenix Contact. These new power supplies boast a series of additional features providing increased functionality. The QUNIT SFB is the first industrial grade power supply to feature Selective Fuse Breaking (SFB), a technology that increases system reliability. The SFB-technology has been designed to provide up to 6 times the nominal output current rating for 21ms. This circuitry allows for individual device protection to active, preventing the entire DC bus from collapsing.
